Calendar views and filters

How the four view modes differ, and how den/patrol/category filters interact.

View modes

Four buttons at the top of the calendar.

Filters

Filters narrow what shows up across all views.

Den filter (Cub Scouts only)

A multi-select dropdown of all dens in your troop. Two quick actions:

  • All — show every den's events.
  • My Dens — show only the dens your scouts are in. (Default for parents whose family has scouts.)

Toggle individual dens on or off with the checkboxes. Troop-wide events are always shown regardless of the den filter.

Patrol filter (Scouts BSA only)

A single-select dropdown — "All patrols" or one specific patrol. Troop-wide events stay visible.

Category filter (both programs)

A single-select dropdown — "All categories" or one specific category. Combines with the den/patrol filter (AND logic).

Color coding

Each event has a small colored circle next to its title. Two color sources:

  • Den color (Lion=yellow, Tiger=orange, Wolf=red, Bear=blue, Webelos=green, AOL=purple). Used when an event is targeted at a specific den.
  • Category color — used otherwise (you set these in Event categories).

When a den filter is active, a small color legend appears so you know at a glance which dot is which den.
