Using the calendar

What the calendar shows, who sees what, and the four ways to view it.

The calendar is your troop's home base after signing in. It shows every upcoming event the user is allowed to see.

What's on it

  • All events targeted at the user's family (troop-wide events plus their den or patrol).
  • Recurring events expanded out into individual instances.
  • Color dots showing each event's category — or, for den-targeted events, the den's color.

Leaders, assistant leaders, and admins see every event regardless of target audience.

Quick orientation

  • View modes at the top — Coming Up / Month / Week / List. See View modes and filters.
  • Filters above the events — den filter (Cub Scouts) or patrol filter (Scouts BSA), plus a category filter if your troop has categories.
  • Subscribe button — get a copy of the calendar in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. See Subscribe to your troop's calendar.
  • New Event button (leaders only) — opens the event form.

Tapping an event

Tap any event to open its detail page. From there you can:

  • RSVP (if RSVPs are enabled).
  • Sign up to drive (if transportation is enabled).
  • Pay an event fee (if payments are enabled).
  • See who else has RSVP'd.

Leaders see additional controls — edit, override, mark payments, message attendees.
